Than Htike
Than Htike was commander of the 10 Military Operations Command before becoming a senior army commander with his appointment as commander of the Northwestern Regional Military Command on 6 January 2022. He held the rank of Brigadier General from at least 2 July 2022 to at least 5 October 2022. While holding the rank of Brigadier General and commanding the Northwestern Regional Military Command Command there was at least one alleged disappearance, killing, rape or torture committed by unit(s) under his command. Following this he was promoted in rank to Major General by at least 12 January 2023 and continued to hold this rank and command Northwestern Regional Military Command to at least 20 February 2023.
