Hla Min

Hla Min was the commander of Southern Regional Military Command before being moved up the army’s hierarchy to command the 3 Bureau of Special Operations with the rank of Major General in August 2010. With the removal of Tun Than as commander of Southern Regional Military Command on 5 July 2011 Hla Min once against took command of Southern Regional Military Command while continuing to hold his position as commander of 3 Bureau of Special Operations. While holding the rank of Major General and commanding the 3 Bureau of Special Operations there was at least one alleged disappearance, killing, rape or torture committed by unit(s) under his command. Following this he was promoted in rank to Lieutenant General by at least November 2011 and continued to command the 3 Bureau of Special Operations until his retirement in August 2015.
