Min Naung commanded the Eastern Central Regional Military Command from at least 31 October 2012 to at least 11 May 2013. While commanding the Eastern Central Regional Military Command there was at least one alleged disappearance, killing, rape or torture committed by unit(s) under his command. He was then promoted in rank to Major General by at least 3 November 2014. He then commanded the Northwestern Regional Military Command with the rank of Major General from at least 3 November 2014 to at least 6 August 2015. While commanding the Northwestern Regional Military Command there was at least one alleged disappearance, killing, rape or torture committed by unit(s) under his command. He was then promoted in rank again to Lieutenant General by at least 11 August 2015. On 11 August 2015 he was appointed commander of 4 Bureau of Special Operations and held this rank and position until at least 23 January 2018. While commanding the 4 Bureau of Special Operations there was at least one alleged disappearance, killing, rape or torture committed by unit(s) under his command. He then served as commander of the 5 Bureau of Special Operations from at least 27 September 2019 to July 2020. He was then transferred to “reserve forces”.
